In loving memory: George Harper, who passed away on March 25th 2015

George Harper, who resided in Inverell, New South Wales, Australia, was an avid André Rieu fan, and André's music helped him cope in his struggle with cancer. After a battle of over 10 years, he finally succumbed and lost the battle on March 25, 2015. George loved André’s music and the support of many André-fans on Facebook. We lived along with him and followed him throughout his tough life with so many horrible treatments. This is what his wife Sue wrote on Face Book earlier: “It is with a very heavy heart that I said farewell to my best friend and love of my life. George lost his battle today after a valiant 10 year struggle. I say farewell but not goodbye. I will see you again, you will always have my love and heart”. The above photo was taken in Sydney, January 2011, when George, Sue and their son Connor were in Sydney for radiation therapy. The world is poorer without him. Dear George, Rest in Peace. You’ll always be remembered.
