Concert first half ( 41 min)
Concert second half ( 36 min)
Concert encores 27 min)
Again many thanks to Michel Fizzano (manager screens) for those wonderfull images!
Harmony Parlor group photo, after the 1st concert on Thursday July 4th had been finished.
This concert had to deal with two interruptions, due to a lady in the audience who did not feel well.
The concert was therefore delayed by 30 minutes. She was taken care for and we wish her well.
Guest performer Emma Kok with “Dancing on the stars”. The song was especially composed for her by
Tjeerd Oosterhuis, a Dutch songwriter and he was in the audience! During the rehearsal Emma performed
“Heal the world” (not anymore in the concerts) and halfway the concert series she added “Voila”. (We think
dependant of her energy level she could perform one or two songs on stage).
Phil Bee sang “Sweet Caroline” and “Delilah”. Emma Kok won in 2019 the song contest “Voice Kids” and
“Mini Stars.” Phil Bee won the Voice Senior contest and he almost won the TV contest “Battle of the Bands”
with his “Phil Bee Cocker Band”. He is from Maastricht.

The lady with the long blond hair does not belong to the Harmony Parlor fan group.
She is a resident of Maastricht who likes to get attention and inmediately joins in
as soon as a camera appears.
The European Football (Soccer) Championship is underway and coincidentally a match between NL and
Turkey, played in Germany, started during the concert. The Dutch people followed the scores on their
phones and two times during the concert the crowd erupted in cheers. Holland scored two goals. Final
score: Holland won the match with 2-1. Fortunately, the goals were right in between two pieces of music
so, they did not disturb the concert very much. André responded by playing the well-known Dutch soccer
songs: "Hup Holland Hup" and "We are the Champions". This allowed the audience to release the
euphoria while singing along loudly, after which peace returned and the concert simply continued. There
were also two interruptions in this concert, but this time due to a football match. The Dutch team reached
the semi finals.
This concert was interrupted by a little bit of rain. Ponchos were on the seats and André gave the
audience some time to put them on, by playing “Singing in the rain”. Luckily it was a small rain shower
that didn't last long.

We lost everyone tonight, so the HP photo for concert number 6 just has 4 of us,
and a lot of streamers! Sorry, we did not show up for the photo, but we were there:
Ruud, Ineke and Irene (daughter).
Julia: “Please, if you are at a concert here in Maastricht, come and join us at the front of A2 afterwards”.
On the picture: Julia, Kathy, Edwina, Jayne, Liz and Hanne Jäger.

Lin Shao Serena on Facebook:
“Seven years ago, at the age of
18, I had the privilege of singing
with Andre Rieu as a solo
soprano with his orchestra and
then touring Europe for a year
with his Johann Strauss
orchestra.
️
After seven years, with the inner
ecstasy and anticipation, my dear
husband and I once again set
foot on this venue that once
brought me infinite enthusiasm,
walked through this "battlefield"
together, felt the same
performance as before, and saw
the large poster display of the
song that year, so exciting!
This is the first time to listen to Mr. Andre's music
from the audience's point of view, the feeling is
very wonderful, I used to stand on the stage and
look at the audience, this time I sat in front of the
stage and became a member of the audience,
there is a kind of romance... The music quickly
brings back the memories that have been sealed,
and you will remember the feelings and states
clearly, as if time and space were really rewound
to a moment...”

André thanks the piccolos (ushers) for their support.
We thank Julia for her wonderful photos. You can find them everywhere on these Maastricht 2024 pages.
For us, the Maastricht three weeks turned out to an emotional roller-coaster as we never experienced
before. But we were happy being able (together with Hanne and more fantastic André Rieu fan friends) to
support our friend Heather during these for her life changing days.
The Maestro says: “There is a healing power in music”. Let us keep that in mind!
Everything has an end!
No, yes, no, YES!!
Nicky’s mother celebrated
her 92nd birthday.
Congratulations, Dawn!

The Maastricht police officer who supported Heather on the worst
day of her life, comforted her in the concert.
