Each year Andre Rieu will do a ‘Dress Rehearsal’. This is in fact a wrong name for what he is doing,
he will record all introductions to the songs in either English or German and does a sound/light check
at the same time. Normally this will take place on the day preceding the first concert.
This year he only did a sound check and only staff and family members were allowed to enter the Vrijthof,
not really pleasing the fans, especially since the message that entry was not allowed came quite late.
Many fans had been queuing for a long time. Yesterday afternoon however, news spread that there would
be a recording later that day. This meant that only a few dozen people watched the recordings on the
square instead of hundreds like the years before. For all who have missed the recordings,
