“From the heart” is the name of Mirusia’s latest tour. Ruud and Ineke attended the show on April 9th2017 in Rijswijk near The Hague. From the program we noticed that Mirusia now has her own production company and we loved meeting Youri and Mirusia’s mother being here in the Netherlands. Youri Wystyrk was noted as Mirusia’s tour manager. He said that he gave up his job in Australia to keep assisting Mirusia on her tours, which we think is a good decision for a young married couple. The distance between Australia and the Netherlands is too big for quick fly-overs! The show was fantastic. Ruud created a video for the fans to enjoy. Musical director: Graeme Press (piano), violinist Giedre Mundinaite-Leenhouwers, guitar player Martijn Buijnsters, percussionist Roel Meessen, synthesizer Rob Mennen, Cellist Marije de Jong, Bassist Justin van Uum, all backing vocals Keiarn Chesebro and Imke Heitzer. The flamenco dancer: Mirjam Venhuizen. Click HERE for an article from Chapeau Magazine in the Harmony Parlor: “Rieu vocalist Mirusia captures the Netherlands” (March 31, 2017).
Youri sold CDs in the merchandise stand. You may order Mirusia’s album “From the heart” via her websitewww.mirusia.net, or via her official fan store in the Netherlands, click HERE.

Article from ”The Courier” of June 13th 2017. Brisbane. By Phil Brown, arts-editor.Internationally renowned Brisbane singer Mirusia Louwerse was getting sick of people telling her she looked pregnant so she’s now relieved that she actually is. Mirusia (she is known mostly by her Christian name like Madonna and Adele) has made her name as Dutch classical music superstar Andre Rieu’s leading lady and for the past decade the 32-year-old has been living between Maastricht in The Netherlands and Brisbane where she has a home. This year she and her husband, her tour manager and a former celebrity bodyguard, Youri Wystyrk, 34, are spending much of their time in Brisbane as they prepare for the happy day. Mirusia is due in December.“People have been speculating about me having a baby for years,” Mirusia says. “They have come up to me and said they could see my baby bump when I wasn’t even pregnant.”Having a Rubenesque figure foxed some fans and Mirusia says she got a little tired of people saying that, particularly since she was trying to get pregnant without any results.“But the baby comes when it’s ready to come,” she says and she’s thrilled that she will soon be a mum.Mirusia, a former student of Ormiston College, graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University in 2006. She was she youngest winner of the Dame Joan Sutherland Opera Award that same year and was soon discovered by Andre Rieu who flew her to The Netherlands to appear with him. She soon became a regular and having Dutch heritage was handy because she speaks the language, which helped.Since then she has toured the world with him and charted a successful solo career and is also a best-selling recording artist. Her last gig with Rieu was in Manchester in the UK in March. She will be touring to Chile in August but we will have to wait until October to see her again in Brisbane when she will star in the Scotland The Brave Concert at QPAC.Her new CD “From The Heart” will be out in September. This year will be less busy than some. “I’m treating it as a bit of a gap year to take it easy and prepare for the baby,” Mirusia says. “I’m very happy. We have been looking forward to this. I was touring when I found out I was pregnant. People had been speculating for so long about it but now it’s true.”
June 15th 2017.A wonderful song from Mirusia’s album “From the heart” is now available as a single. The song “Als jij niet van mij houdt” (If you don’t love me) was composed by the Dutch musical duo the late Lennaert Nijgh and Boudewijn de Groot. You may download it now: Apple Music: http://apple.co/2t5K1aj, Spotify: http://bit.ly/2t64USC, Hits NL: http://bit.ly/2t5vRpS, Deezer: http://www.deezer.com/album/42601761.(Please note some countries currently have restricted access to this song.)Mirusia: “This song has not just been a choice. In 1996, when I was 11, I went with my parents from Australia to the Netherlands to visit my Dutch family. On the way from Schiphol (Amsterdam airport) to Breda there was a nice fragile Dutch song on the radio. My uncle put the radio louder and told us how much he loved that song by Boudewijn de Groot. The melody was incredibly beautiful and emotional. I immediately had a connection with it. Last year, when I was touring the Netherlands, I decided to add this song to my repertoire. Twenty years after I heard it on the radio! With a new arrangement (by Ruud Merx) and with the approval of Boudewijn de Groot, we included it in my program and it was one of the highlights of my concerts. It describes a love that comes from one side. I think everybody experienced that once. I will always sing it right from my heart! "
