August 4, 2919. “Laat de Leeuw” talkshow from 1999. We are very happy that Vicki Hogue found a wonderful “golden Oldie” for us. Thank you Vicki! This show was broadcast on Dutch TV exactly twenty years ago, just after André had celebrated his 50th birthday. This year he will celebrate his 70th birthday, looking good as ever! August 4th 2019. On the occasion of André’s 70th birthday two days, only in cinemas!!! A documentary named “André Rieu, 70 years young”. Only two days!! The poster says Saturday 4th January 2020 at 7PM and Sunday 5th January 2020 at 3PM. In the cinemas in the Netherlands, the film is advertised on Saturday 18th January 2020 at 7 PM and Sunday 19th January 2020 at 3 PM. Contact www.andreincinemas.com or your local cinema. August 20, 2019. Another Golden Oldie. Talk show Karel van de Graaf, from 1995. One year after André’s break through in the Netherlands, he was invited as a guest in Karel van de Graaf’s talk show. Click on the picture to watch the video.

September 14, 2019. Something special happened in the Bogotá concert of September 13th. André performed for the first time in Colombia four concerts, on September 12,13,14,15, 2019. For the first time in 30 years there was a serious sound problem and André had to stop the concert. Click on the picture to read what happened.

September 22, 2019. Another Golden Oldie sent to us by Francisco Morales from Spain. The video is from 1999, the celebration of the Millennium on Spanish TV. Click on the picture.

September 24, 2019. André was in Vienna for promotional recordings for his newest album: “Happy Days”. Click on the picture to watch interviews on two Dutch TV programs: RTL Boulevard and SBS 6 Shownieuws.

October 3, 2019. Dutch newspapers published articles about André Rieu on the occasion of his 70th birthday. Click on the picture to read them as posted on the Harmony Parlor website. Long shall he live…. and play…. English translation by Ineke and John.

André Rieu concerts canceled in Santiago de Chile, due to declared emergency. The André Rieu concerts scheduled for Saturday and Sunday night in Santiago de Chile (Oct.19th and 20th, 2019) have been canceled. Due to major protests against tariff increases in the public transport, heavy riots broke out. André and the Orchestra left the Chilean capital. The concerts will be rescheduled in May 2020. October 25, 2019. YES!! The first six dates have been announced for the Maastricht July 2020 concerts!! Fri. 3, Sat. 4, Sun. July 5. Fri. 10, Sat. 11, Sun. 12. Tickets go on sale on Wednesday October 30th 2019, at 10 AM Dutch Time. The Fan dinner will be held at Fr. July 3.

November 2019, Touring Spain. After twenty years André Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra returned to Spain for three concerts, one in Madrid (Nov.13), one in Bilbao (Nov.15) and one in Barcelona (Nov.16). Ruud and Ineke attended the Madrid concert and spent a few extra days to see Madrid and Toledo, since they had never been there before. Click on the picture.

André Rieu will start a new tradition: Christmas concerts in the MECC, in Maastricht. The concerts will take place on Fri. Dec. 20, Sat. Dec. 21, and Sun. Dec. 22. 2019. CHRISTMAS CONCERTS! Tickets are on sale: https://www.andrerieu.com/en André revealed that there will be dancers, ice dancers and a gospel choir.

The biggest hall of the MECC (which is a conference centre) is suitable for 12.000 people. Stands will be added like an arena, and there will be two ice rinks to get the right winter atmosphere.

December 2nd 2019. Sister Leona passed away. From André’s Facebook: “Deeply saddened to hear of Sister Leona’s passing. She was 105 years old and my oldest and biggest fan in Maastricht. I will always remember our last waltz on the Vrijthof in July 2019!” To honor Sister Leona, we’ll link to a few interviews on this website. Click on the picture.
