André Rieu concert breaks box office record in the UK, Ireland, Denmark and the Netherlands. Music Week: July 20, 2015: André Rieu’s 2015 Maastricht Concert has become the highest grossing theatrical music concert at cinemas of all time in the UK, Ireland, The Netherlands and Denmark - watched by an estimated 150,000 people across Europe. Rieu also broke the record for the highest grossing music concert shown at cinemas in 2013 and 2014! The total estimated European gross box office figure is over £1.4 million (€ 2. million) for the weekend, following screenings at 195 cinemas across Europe, including the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Romania, Germany and Finland. CinemaLive CEO and co-director, Peter Skillman, said: “André Rieu has again proven his box-office pulling power across UK and Europe, with audiences coming together this weekend to enjoy this magnificent concert at their local cinema.
